Last updated 3 months ago

As a Delegator in the Zeebu network, your role is crucial in supporting the network's growth and efficiency. Understanding your potential returns is key to making informed decisions about your participation.

Rewards

Every Delegator (Staker) who stakes to a pre-live node starts with a base Annual Percentage Yield (APY) of 25% for the active service of delegating their ZBU tokens when staking to an inactive node. This base rate applies to all inactive nodes, regardless of which one you choose.

Once a node becomes active, the base APY provided for actively delegating ZBU tokens is replaced by the APY offered by your Deployer, which is derived from the rewards On-chain clearing houses earn for processing transactions. The 2% transaction fee charged to merchants and clients using Zeebu’s B2B services enables these rewards to be paid in stablecoins rather than ZBU tokens, avoiding token emissions.

  • On-chain clearing houses earn 0.6% of the total transaction volume they process via their activated node

  • They can choose to share a portion of these earnings with their Delegators

  • The exact percentage shared varies by Deployer, creating a competitive market for your stake.

Example

If a Deployer processes $1,000,000 in transactions, they earn $6,000. If they choose to share 50% with Delegators, $3,000 of that $6,000 will be distributed among the node's Delegators.

Your total APY as a Delegator is either the base 25% APY (when delegating to inactive nodes and resulting from the active service of delegating your ZBU tokens) or the rate set by the Deployer to which you are delegating (when delegating to active nodes and resulting from the active service of processing teleco mtransactions.)

The Deployer-provided APY from active nodes derived from the active service of processing telecom transactions can exceed the 25% base APY derived from the active service of staking ZBY tokens to inactive nodes, especially if you stake with high-performing nodes that process large transaction volumes and On-chain clearing houses who competitively offering APY for the active service of processing telecoms for that node, thereby securing larger Delegation.
